I had a prepaid vodacom number for more than ten years, I decide to take a cell c contract but because I did not want to have many numbers I port my existing vodacom number 4 the cell c contract. After expiriencing network problems at cell c, I asked them for a settlement figure to cancel my contract. I paid and signed a cancellation form that clearly stated my number should changed to prepaid, this at my nearest cell c shop. The lady at the shop faxed the form and phoned to check if it was received.this was on the 14 th February 2013. Later that week my phone just went dead and when I phoned them to check what the problem was I was told my number had been deactivated. I phoned several times after that to try get my number back. They said they will open a case and get back to me. It's been a month I haven't heard from Cell c. I feel they did this on purpose because I had mentioned that I wanted to port back my number to vodacom. What is frustrating is that since I've had this number for so long, it's how everyone gets hold of me.
