Vodacom expects me to pay for inferior product

Telecommunications

I was sold an inferior charger/usb cable with a VodaTablet through a Vodacom contract (7/2012). I went to the store, phoned them, sent emails, called Customer Care and a senior regional representative (Moses) without any success during 01-03/2013.
Only now they want to provide a replacement cable after countless inconvenience, frustrating, embarrassing and costly attempts (time is money, as I am a consultant). I have been treated like dirt in the process at Vodacom. I dont want cable: I suffered finacial losses.
I also went out of my way to other Vodastores and IT shops in different cities, but charger/cable could not be found.
I primarily used the tablet for GPS (due to the nature of my work, finding my way in the cities) and due to Vodacom's failure, I had to buy a GPS for R1400. The tablet is useless now. I can therefore not pay for something which I have no economic benefit. Vodacom breached the agreement. Solution: cancellation of contract. I also informed them that wef February 2013 I will not pay the tablet agreement subscription of R289/month. My other 3 cellphone contract are honoured without fail, as usual. They are now demanding payment. Please assist.
