Unable to port my numbe

Good day,
I am extremely irate at being transfered to numerous consultants who just cannot help me. I took out a cell c contract in December on condition I can port my number. I was informed I could port my number only once I receive the phone. I receive my cellphone today after 3 weeks and contact the call centre to port my number only to be told that my port was declined. I thereafter spoke to 4 consultants who are unable to help me or tell me why my port was declined. My current service provider has approved my port and where advise in advance of my intention to port. What kind of service is this???
Is it only about making a sale for Cell C.
My condition is that I will not accept this contract if I am unable to port my number. Can someone please explain why my port was declined and resolve this issue.
