R1200 phone bill on a R350 capped account

I have a Vodacom account that is capped at R350 per month and last month my bank was debited with R1 200 for the account - when you have specifically requested a cap on the contract so you don't get a huge unforeseen expense and can budget for maximum R350, how the can Vodacom suddenly bill you for R1200 and blame it on Internet usage? surely it should have been "cut-off" at the R350 mark??? the call centre said there is nothing that can be done that is how much was billed? I have now blocked the Sim and I want to cancel this contract!!!
