No feedback on cancellation request

The Telkom cables were recently in our area and we were advised that they would not be replaced. So I can no longer have an ADSL connection. The sales consultants were very eager to assist when i queried the possibility of an alternative. Unfortunately due to the poor cell phone signal on our area and other factors I could not consider any of the other options offered by Mweb. When I needed to cancel the ADSL, this is where the service ended. On making contact with cancellations, I enquired whether Mweb would consider waiving the 30 day notice period. This being that in the first place the reason i need to cancel is no fault of mine and secondly that I have been a customer for 14 years. Even though the line went down 15/2 I was prepared to accept cancellation on 28/2. The person who I spoke to suggested that i send a motivation for this together with the cancellation and further mentioned that Mweb would consider it. The ADSL connection has been cancelled from 01/04/2013 but no feedback whatsoever on the waiver of the notice period. Follow up emails to cancellations and even a note on Twitter have been futile.
