Locked contract sim

I have a contract phone with mtn but i cannot make any call or save any number, it says not registered on the network. i spoke to few agents from mtn but no one pays attention to what i want to say. my number is now blocked and i dont even have a month with this phone. i wonder how is it gonna be going forward cause clearly, i regret ever taking mtn contract.
