Contacted telkom on teh 31/01/2013 to get uncapped adsl. spoke to Funeka on 10210 at 11:10am. asked her what the ocst would be as i am currently paying R341.00 for my telkom line voice line and she said that the only additional cost for my 4/10mps line would be R369.00. this is the special that telkom is having for clients. i confirmed this with her on numourous occassion to ensure there was no other costs involved and she confirmed with me that teh only additional cost would be 369.00 and my total bill per month excluding telephone calls would be R710.00. i know get a call from telkom telling me that i owe them over R1700.00. This they say is for adsl as i must pay pro rata and that my adsl alone costs me R700.00. i gave the consultant all the details and have even gone to the ombudsman with reference number GAU3636/12 with teh complaint. The ombudsman says unfortunately telkom are refusing to reply and there is nothing they ca do. so what does one do? the ombudsman has no power and telkom dont care. well time to move on and stop using their service as this company neeeds to start understanding how to treat customers.
