My hubby has been very loyal to Vodacom since 2002. We submitted a claim for his Samsung Galaxy SIII that was damaged after I had left it in the car's roof, forgotten it was there and reversed over the phone. On quering this with Vodasure, we were ifromed that the contract states that the phone must be in use at the time of the incident. I have read the contract more than once, and there is no such clause. The reason the phone hadn't been in use was that we had locked it in the safe, as my hubby has been using his work cell phone, so for security and cost saving measures, it was in the safe. On the death of my mother, many calls and arrangements had to be made, so the phone was brought out to use. All insurance premiums were paid, despite not using the phone. Obviously the phone was insured for things like this? Now we will effectively be paying for a phone that won't be in use as we do not have money to repair or replace. Highly disappointed
