Mweb
Over billing and debiting me when I cancelled svcs

Telecommunications

First off early January 2013 Mweb billed be R400 for a 1GB ADSL account which I used as backup if my primary ADSL ISP is offline. Note BACKUP. I used the Mweb account that month and hit 1GB, how do I know? I know because when I tried to browse the web i was redirected to a Mweb website advising that I hit my 1GB limit and need to top up.

I contacted Mweb and they advised that I used more than my 1GB limit and was charged extra. Which by the way I do not agree with. I gave them the benifit of the doubt and made peace with the R400 I was billed for. I then immediately requested a cancellation and was sent the cancellation form and was assured that it will be cancelled immediately as it was still the 2nd of January and that no further debit orders will be run on my account.

The form was filled in and sent back on the 2nd of January 2013. But guess what, end of January Mweb has a debit order of R400 on my account again! After I cancelled and did not use the account. I phoned the bank, got it reversed and stopped the debit order. I then advised @mwebguy on twitter and was advised they will look into it.

Today I receive a sms that they want to list me at credit bureau! Sort it out!
