Signal was good, Now its gone

I was advised to check the signal quality at my home before taking out an Internet Promo 5 contract with 8ta.
I used a Huawei E180 modem and a borrowed simcard and found that I was getting download speeds of 4.5-5Mbps with the 7Mbps modem. I then signed the contract in Dec2011. I installed the modem in a WiFi router and was happily using my 10G/month with download speeds of 3-6Mbps. In early Feb13 my signal disappeared. I tested the modem on my laptop, and found no signal anywhere on my property. I took the modem and laptop to my office (12km away) and found I had full download speed. I tested at a friend's house about 20km away and found I also had good speed (Therefore all my hardware is operational). Tested back in my house and found no signal. I contacted the helpdesk on 25Feb13, who advised the issue will be resolved within 72 hrs. I got a confirmation that the issue was resolved on 01Mar13 and that my signal will improve in 6-12months. I called the helpdesk again on 04Mar13 and advised that this was unacceptable as I had a perfectly good signal for 14 months of the 24 month cotract. They reopened the case (number 4121693) on 04Mar13 and still have not contacted me as yet.
