I have been attempting to cancel a contract and make it a prepaid number, and Cell C is making it a complete nightmare. I went to the branch in Potchefstroom (31/12/12), where i had very efficient service, but absolutely nothing came of it. the forms were submitted for cancellation, but noone from cell C got hold of me to let me know exactly what the "commitment amount" was that needed to be paid. After following up once, I had to go into another, different, branch (09/02/13), where i had to follow a different procedure for the cancellation (which i thought had already been processed), and have paid the commitment amount which the branch could give to me. After following up with that as well, i am STILL waiting for some acknowledgement from cell c that the contract has been moved to prepaid. on top of this all, i was debited an amount of almost R1000 last Friday (1/3/12) for which i have not received an account or any indication what the huge amount is for.
i logged an email query over 48hrs ago which i am still awaiting a response to regarding this situation.

i am so extremely frustrated with cell c, and will never sign up for any contracts with them in the future.
