I got a Blackberry Bold 9780 in March 2012 from MTN. I had a problem with it in November, so i sent it in for repairs at MTN in Umhlanga Gateway on the 28th of November and was told that it would take 14 days to sort out, bare in mind that the phone is still under warranty. After countless phone calls and e-mails, i was eventually replaced with what they call a "new" "refurbished" device in the new year 7th of January 2013. While using the phone i noticed that it kept on freezing and the keypad was faulty, the letters used to appear like 2 or 3 times, even though you pressed it once. i sent the phone in again in February becasue i was told we have to follow protocol. i got the phone back after 2 weeks, only to realise that the problem was not fixed, so obviously no one touched the phone or repaired it. It makes us realise that when our phones are sent in, they probably just do software upgrades and send our phones back. i was told that i must send the phone in again, which is terrible customer service, and they now spend more time with the phone, then i do, and i am still paying for the contract. It seems as if i should cancel my service with MTN and move over to another network.
