My mistake in trying to port from vodacom to 8ta

I took out a contract with 8ta on the 27/02/2013 and put through a request to port my number from vodacom to 8ta.By the 28/02/2013, vodacom had actioned the request and sent me an sms confirming this. I phoned the 8ta call centre on 01/03/2013 at 8:05 am asking about the status of the port, the agent confirmed that my request was stuck and she would place an 'escalation on this' and call me back. I called back at 2:00 pm, the agent confirmed that it should have been done, she would follow up and get back to me.By 4:30pm I still hadnt received any feedback and this time I requested to speak to the manager. Cleopatra assured me she would follow up and promised to call me back with feedback by 10am on the 02/03/2013. 11am on the 02/03/2013 and still no call from Cleopatra. I phoned 8ta again and spoke to Chanelle who wasnt much help and said that there was nothing they could do but wait. Phoned back on 03/03/2013, spoke to Edgar who assured me that it must be an issue with Vodacom, that sometimes vodacom says they have released the number, but in fact they havent. Phoned Vodacom, who were most helpful and assured me that everything was done from their side. Can anyone help!!
