Over billed then Blacklisted

On the 25th of January this year Telkom took R558.77 from my account - despite my bill being just over R200. Apparently they had a wide scale billing error and I got a generic email a few days later apologizing for the error (I hadn't got round to querying it with them yet). On the the 30th of January they credited my account with the amount they had over billed - R338.27. How this can happen is beyond comprehension - but anyway they did sort out their error quickly.

On the 26th of February Telkom took R189.58 from my account - as expected. Now is when I get angry. I have an impeccable credit rating and keep an eye on it at all times as I value having a clean record and the integrity that comes with it. I needed to apply for finance through FNB and I get rejected because of my credit record. I check my credit rating only to find I have an outstanding amount of R338 with Telkom and have been black listed as a late payer for January.

I can't tell you how angry and upset this has made me. It is so incredibly unfair that they can mess with my life in such a manner. I now have the unpleasant task of trying to deal with their call centre to fix this disgusting situation.
