BLACKBERRY 9800 with two IMEI NUMBERS

I took out contract with MTN 2011 June, when it was delivered to me it would take forever to start. One of my colleagues took it back to their walk in cntr century city. they swaped the phone and gave me another one of wich I am now stuck cause my phone needs fixing from freezing. first they could not fix it cause of wrong IMEI number. I then explained what happened and gave them their receipt to prove what happened. but still my phone is not back. I booked it in Jan 14th. What do I do in this case. whos fault is it that I have two imei numbers.354695049759490 and 354695047244644 and now surely they waiting for me to upgrade now in march. I have complained with MTN refrence number MTN REQ:1788822
