To Whom it may concern

2 Months ago we moved from Bryanston (where we waited for 3 months for a line with no option of upgrading to ADSL) to Centurion and requested a line transfer.

Up to today (2013/02/20) we are still waiting for the line to be transferred. First the mainline is faulty, then the exchange, then the cable running to the house and still no luck.

The latest being told on Friday (2013/02/15) that the line has been fixed and technicians will come today (2013/02/20). So my wife put in a day's leave (for the third time this year) and I phone Telkom today (2013/02/20) to confirm that a technician is coming, just to be told that since yesterday (2013/02/19) the line is again faulty, couldn't someone phone us?

How can one agent tell me one thing and the other a different thing? How long must we wait for a line? The man on the street is being bullied and neglected, we have no way of recourse against Telkom and no way to claim time and money spent?

Even escalating the requests is met with absolute disregard, no one in Telkom seems to give a about service delivery.

Here I am hoping in vain for someone in Telkom to read this and actually give a.
