I ordered and paid a deposit for a Telkom adsl line and uncapped monthly data. I was told that the line and router would be installed within 7 days and I was also told that I will receive an sms with the date of the installation and that the technician would call me the morning of to confirm. I received a sms stating that the installation would be on Monday the 9th of December. The sms also stated that if this was not a convenient day i must reply "@No" to the sms. I then replied "@No". Then on Monday morning, a technician turned up at the house. I was at work and could not leave on such short notice. No one called to confirm for the Monday or to move the appointment as I had replied No to the sms. I then called the customer care and they then moved the appointment to the 12th of December. I made arrangements for someone to be there. No technician came. No one called to cancel or move the appointment. I have mailed Telkom, but i just get the same reply stating: "According to our records, your request has been resolved". Nothing has been resolved. I paid a deposit for a service which has not been installed yet. Do I now have to wait until the new year for this to be resolved? Alex.
