Telecommunications

My blackberry handset is giving me problems, rebooting in the middle of calls, battery full and dies within seconds from full, etc. I called vodacom to try and get an early upgrade since i am due for one on 10 April, I thought maybe I could with the handset problems. I was advised it is not possible as my monthly spend is less than R1000. I then requested a quote for early termination of contract, so I can pay penalty then get a new contract with handset and still keep same number. Quote was sent to me. When i went to vodaworld to to all this I was told it is impossible by vodashop. the gentleman said I must go to customer service if i dont believe him, which i did and was told my number would have to be prepaid for at least 6 months after termination before taking another contract on it. I figured vodacom clearly doesnt want my business, if I cant keep my number with a new contract, why should i take it with them?

when i asked her to book in phone for repairs she said she will not give me a loan phone. this was not a solution as it would leave me in the same phoneless position which is not practical for me, as I use it for work since my employer pays me a phone allowance.
