2 weeks turnaround for ADSL line re-connection

My phone line went down on Friday 8th of February due to non-payment (only received a single reminder, but that is a different story), payment was made on the Saturday the 9th and went through on Monday 11th.
On Monday the 11th I phoned Telkom and asked for the line to be re-connected at which point I was told this would take a maximum of 4 hours.
It is now a week later and the ADSL line is still not working. The voice line (which we don't use, have to pay for the voice service if we want ADSL!!! - but that is another story) was reconnected within the promised time frame, so on Tuesday 12th the ADSL fault was logged.
After phoning a couple of times in between, I escalated the matter on Friday 15th and on phoning again on Monday 18th was told that the estimated time of repair was the 22nd or 26th of February. 2 weeks is a ridiculous turn-around time! I am sure there will be no refund for unused line rental time, but will pursue this when the time comes.
Fault number is 927CRK120213.
