Our Telkom account for November was suddenly up to over R750 from the usual R200 and contained a lot of numbers I did not recognise.
I logged a call reporting with the calldesk. Within days I got a call from Donald who very professionally requested relevant information from me.
A technician was sent out who found that our line had been tampered with. I got further calls from Donald keeping me informed.
By the start of January we had been refunded for the calls and there have been no more suspect calls on our line.
While I am annoyed with the ease with which it seems to be possible to tap into a telkom line, I am impressed with the professional way in which the problem was investigated and resolved.
