On the 1st of February I ported my Vodacom number to Cell C. On the 2nd of February I went into the Promenade, Mitchells Plain branch to purchase R300 airtime with the understanding that Supercharge will be applicable and I will get 900mb bonus Data valid over 30 days. I even asked in the branch and was told that yes, indeed I will get as per the the advert on their counter. It is only 4 days later that I discovered that I am being charged for making calls and I did not get free minutes. I called the callcentre and upon enquiring was told that the promotion only started on the 4th of February. I was informed that I should contact the branch and sort it out with them. Upon calling the branch I was told I should call the call centre as the branch does not have the authority to make changes of that nature.

I logged a trouble ticket on Thursday the 7th of February. Ticket Number: 3020701673. To date I have received no response. The sad thing is I ported my Wife, nephew and bought a new Cell C sim for my daughter, discarding her Vodacom number. If this is the way forward I might have to go back to the bad service at Vodacom.
