I have been on the 8ta 10 gig 10 gig night surfer contract for 1 and halve years. At the end of January 8ta deducted an addition R675 from my account b/c according to them on the 30 December 2012 between 1am and 8 am i downloaded 4 gig of data. this is impossible and for the last 18 months if my data was depleted the connection would time out. now all of the sudden they inform me the data continues to run at an out of range rate. Why is this the first time that this happened and how can anyone download 4 gig in 8 hours. 8ta does not have network that fast. I was met with hostility & indifference by the customer care call center as well as the employee and canal walk. i was told the matter would be escalated to an engineer, about a week later i was phoned by 8ta, the woman on the other line was clearly having a bad day and felt comfortable to take it out on me. she was rude, impatient, aggressive and finally she hung up on me. I called back to 8ta to complain as this woman didn't tell me who she was, but i wanted some explanation as to why this woman was harassing as i have better things to do than to be yelled at by 8ta. I haven't had any reply from the company on either matter.
