Discontinuation of service and no further feedback

In November 2013, I reported that our land line service had been interrupted and received the following information Service id 0219315755 and Ref 706CWZ051113. In the week following I received several text messages indication the fault had been reported and was being investigated. Mid November I received a text advising due to cable in the area they would not be replacing the cable and would contact me with alternative solutions by the end of November 2013. Todate I have received no further correspondence in the post or otherwise from Telkom and any attempt on my part to find further information relating to this fault meets with the same response ie The fault has been reported and the ref no is 706CWZ051113. I have tried relogging the fault, going online with no joy. I would appreciate some feedback from Telkom asap as I have a elderly parent at home during the day who needs access to the telephone in case of an emergency. Thank you
