MTN cant supply their own product

I went into the MTN store on Summit road, Morningside, Johannesburg.
I requested a TWELVE MONTH mtn Mychoice USE YOUR OWN contract initially but Neo (who was great and tried her best throughout this entire catastrophe) was unable to select anything other than a 24 month contract. This is despite all mtn terms and conditions stating in bold that "All contracts are available on 6, 12 and 18 month periods".

The only options that she could find less than 24 months was a 6 month MTN Anytime contract. Anyway, I accept this as a second best option. My contract is approved later that day. I go in the next day to collect a sim card, but my number is not ported. For a whole week this drags on. A week later, a second attempt to port my number, and for about 5 days nothing happens, and the port request is cancelled. All I want is a 12 month MTN MyChoice contract whereby I will use my own phone but MTN seem inept and incapable at doing this. Neo spent almost two weeks contacting people at headoffice, and no one seemed to have a clue. This morning I officially gave up on the process.

I wanted to port to MTN from my current service provider, but after this I can't recommend them what so ever.
