Vodacom
Poor Service Delivery and After Market Service

Telecommunications

3 weeks ago, I placed an order for a battery for a Samsung Galaxy XCover s5690 with the Vodashop in Cresta. I was told that the battery would arrive in 3 days. After a week, there was no correspondence and there was no record of my order.

I then placed an order with the repairs centre in Cresta. Eunice was very enthusiastic and polite, but was incapable of placing an order, she then transferred me to one of the repairs technicians, Vincent, who would be able to order the battery.

Why I wasn't referred to this process in the beginning, I have no idea.

Last Thursday, Vincent placed an order for the battery, quoted me, and told me that he would confirm availability on Tuesday. Tuesday, I received no correspondence.

Today, I phoned and was transferred to the workshop, who confirmed that they had the battery. Howevery, they said that I had to book the phone in for repairs, and I could not simply purchase the battery. I was not informed of this process, and this is now just another item in a long list of inconveniences and incompetence.

Furthermore, the quality of Vodacom signal is ridiculous. It is criminal that they charge for a service that they cannot provide.
