I went for an upgrade on the 1st of February. I was told the sim swap will take 24 hours. I phoned 808 on Sunday and was advised to go back to the branch. They again requested the sim swap with a promise of 24 hours. Francina phoned me on Monday just after 09HOO and I confirmed that it was still not working. She promised to report back to me during the day. I also phoned MTN main branch and they promised to send mails to hasten the process. This evening, my old sim was disconnected but the new sim is still not working!!!
Even threads of ICASA was ignored! They have a 7 day window to test the phone. When I said they should count the 7 days from the date my sim was actually working, Francina reminded me that the call was being recorded as I was so "rude" I asked for a reference but she could not give me any. I really feel that their service is poor and their personal is incompetent!
