After being on hold for 29min and then spending 47 min on the phone with a technician, it became apparent that my modem was faulty. Was informed that its no problem, just take the modem, box and slip in and as modem is less than a year old, Telkom will just replace the modem for me. During my lunch time, I went in to the shop. There were qeues in at all available staff except one guy. When I approached him he just ignored me. I then asked if he could assist with a technical matter. His response was non-commital. I then sat down and explained the situation. His only response was "where's your reference number?? " I then indicated that it is at home. The telkom assistant then said, well then he can't help me and carried on with his work. I then asked if they could then just maybe double check the modem for me (something that they have been doing for us at least 7 years). He then stated that dont do that and they have never done that. This is in fact untrue as on at least 5 other occassions I had brought a modem in and after them taking the modem into the back, they would come out and state the condition of the modem. The worst attitude I have EVER come across!!
