Mission to cancel account

In December I called MWeb (and I hope they have the conversation recorded) to cancel my account which I have had for about 5 years and haven't used for about 4 of the 5. After waiting for about 10 minutes I eventually go through to accounts. I explain that I would like to cancel my account as I do not use it. I get told that they require 1 full months notice and that I need to fill in some forms that they will email to me. I give my email address. The forms never arrive, Christmas comes and, well, cancelling MWeb isn't top of my mind. Needless to say I forget to follow up (not that I should have to as I have already spent 10 agonizing minutes the first time waiting for someone to answer my call). Today I see that annoying R75 has been deducted for yet another month. I just tried to call again and after waiting for 8 minutes and listening to "in which malls they can be found", as many times, I put down. Why should it be so difficult to cancel my account??? Needless to say, I have cancelled the debit order at my bank... Could someone please confirm that my account has been cancelled??
