Hidden Upgrade T's & C's

I am due for an upgrade, but was told that the package/deal I am looking for I do not qualify for due to some portfolio rating.

Even though I have 3 contracts in my name and my account is not in arrears, this requirement is not mentioned anywhere on the website.

it seems like you then have one of two options. 1. Keep the same contract and be satisfied with an inferior handset, or 2. Pay in a ridiculous amount in order to get the contract. All the while everywhere it is advertised that you can get certain deals etc.

I have been with Vodacom for more than 5 years now, but this treatment is despicable and to my mind, unacceptable.
