I had an account with iburst in 2008 and then cancelled it 3-5 Months into my subscription.

I asked the iburst agent that attended to me whilst i was about to sign up if iburst had good network coverage of my residential area and the agent assured me they did. few weeks into the service, i started experiencing bad network service and i phoned the company to complain, they were not able to convince me and yet I tried their service for a little longer, when I realised they could not offer me the service that i was expecting which they had promised, i rang them up to cancel my contract with them.

All these years, there was not even a single email demanding that i am owing or to pay up and there was no invoice sent to me like they used to do when i had an account with them.

out of the blue, i received a email from their legal representative dated 2013/09/30 demanding that I pay R1158.83 by 2013/10/10. i did not honour the email though. The question is, where did they come up with that amount when I only signed up for a R199 per month account and I did not even use their service for 5Months? out of which I paid for gigs allocated to me when i was still signed up for their services
