Telkom is frustrating beyond belief

I'm 8 months pregnant and trying to get a Telkom line installed asap.
I have been into the Claremont branch in person and dealt with their manager James Bestbier [Email Removed] who was initially very helpful but since then not answered my emails.
I was told I would receive an sms to confirm when installation would be.
Ordinarily I would bite the bullet and just wait it out, but seeing as I am a few weeks away from giving birth, I am trying to get this done fairly urgently (and by that, it would still be within 2-3 weeks of applying for the line, which is what the service rep told me I could expect. Not a MONTH, which is what I am now being told).
Today I made my THIRD call to Telkom to follow up with them to find out what my installation date is, as I have YET to receive a single sms.
The communication is non-existent, which is ironic seeing as Telkom is a telecomms company!
All I am trying to do is to see if the query can be escalated so that installation takes place on Friday 31 January instead of a February installation as I am being told.
This entire process is likely to make me go into labour early due to the stress involved!
