I have been a CellC Contract customer for 4 years. Recently they changed their packages and I didn't fancy taking any of them. So I sent them an email and enquired when my contract was ending. To this day I didn't receive any response from them. I requested them to email me a response. On 01/02/2013 I phoned the call centre to enquire about my account and upgrade, only to learn that they cancelled my contract on 24/01/2013 as per my request. I NEVER asked them to cancel my contract! So I decided this could be as good a time as any to change to another service provider, i.e. Vodacom. My application was declined. How can a company cancel a contract without notification or written correspondence? I feel that this was not professional of them and this will certainly leave a bad taste in my mouth for years. I will never advise anyone to ever join CellC again.
