WANT TO CHANGE CONTRACT TO ANOTHER OPTION

I phoned the customer care number on the 22/01/14 at 10:15 and asked them if I can please have more information on the different contracts because I want to down grade on my current contract. I was told that I will be contacted within 24 - 48 hours. This morning 27/01/2014 I decided to phone again and the call centre lady told me that they haven't respond to the query as yet. Why is it so difficult to give a customer the necessary information as requested. I am due for an upgrade in April and I am really considering not to renew my contract with cell c again. The reference number that was given to me is: 4012200703.
