Why do you have a call centre?

I phoned Telkom on Sunday at 17:30 to reset the port on the adsl line and to check that the nearest exchange was up and running as the storm the night before may have caused the nearest exchange to go down. With being over an hour on 'hold' with the automated voice stating that all the call centre agents are busy, I have wasted over an hour of my time and yet no answer from Telkom. This is absolutely shocking service. I would like to be compensated for my time wasted and pro rata reimbursement for the adsl line rental and Internet bundle while the Internet was down.
