I went to the woodmead branch this morning to do what i thought was going to be a simple sim swap. I did the same Vodacom yesterday across the foyer which took all of 5mins. I was approach by a lady staff member who indicated that the system was down and it was not possible. further i was holding just my ID in my hand when she indicated that i needed a proof of residence as which i did not need at vodacom.
She said i should wait 2 hours. After about 2 hours i call store for about 10mins and there is no answer of the phones. anyway i need the sim card today so i make another trip to the store. Another lady indivates that the system is but i can still be done. This is the point my frustration starts as the initial person did not indicate this. She on the other hand said that the drivers license was not acceptable as proof of ID anylonger which also accepted for me at Vodacom. In both cases there was no care or senstivity of what had happened or a willingness to resolve my problem of needing my SIM to work. felt that the staff were happy to see me leave which is what i did and never to return to that store again. MTN will not miss me when i leave their service after some15
