I have asked for a swim swap, on 02/08/2013 at 14:00. The transaction was done at the MTN store in Bedfordview Center, Johannesburg.
At 14:11 i got an sms from MTN saying that the swap request has been received and was being processed. On 03/08/2013 around noon, I called the store stating that the new sim card was still not working. Store then called MTN and I got another SMS from MTN stating the same as above.
At 14:30 I passed the store and they informed that they needed a copy of my MTN account to process the SIM swap. I had to go home and then return with the account which I did around 16:20.
I called 808 in the meanwhile and the lady told me that NO request was logged, the only information they had in the system was that I had to return to the store. Why did MTN not inform me? They sent 2 SMS's so for sure something was in the system. I have upgraded for an Iphone 5 last month and do not understand what the problem is. The store people were very helpfull and did not understand themselves what the problem is.
I called the store twice today (Sunday, 48 hours later) and until now 20:32 nothing has happened. Shocking service from MTN.
