No signal, MTN wont cancel my contract

A few months back I reported very bad signal where I live, I was told it can take a month or two to fix, they will send someone to my area to test.
It has been about 5 months and I still get "No service" about 40% of the time when I am home.
I was informed that my contract could be canceled without a penalty fee because of my problem, I was then told that they could not cancel without a fee because the person I reported the fault to did not Log my problem!

I have been forced to use another service provider which has full signal where I stay and still pay MTN even though it is unusable most of the time where I live.

This is the 2nd problem I have had with MTN, the last time I sent my new phone in for repairs and their staff member used my phone as their personal phone, I was without a phone for 4 months and MTN were reluctant to do anything other than giving the same used phone back
