WHY IS IT DIFFUCLT TO GET A CONTRACT CANCELLED!!

I cancelled a contract and my request is not yet adhered to. My number was supposed to be migrated to prepaid from today 01 November 2013. For verification i dialled *111# at 05:33 to check by balance. To my surprise the sms i received confirmed that am I still on Blackberry talk 100 BIS until 30/11/ 2013, 100m 25s Talk Time until 30/04/2014. Can Vodacom cancel my contract and migrate my number to prepaid with effect from 01/11/2013 as requested.
I received a call from Alex (082 27597) yesterday on 31/10/2013 and confirmed with him that my umber will be migrated to prepaid.
