Too much effort to send an email & gave wrong info

On calling to ask for a quote for an early termination fee, i was told that "it would be easier if you just wrote this down rather than me emailing you".
When I finally got an email, I tried twice to reply and received no response. Calling the person in question resulted in more frustration.
The email also had an incorrect bank account number for MTN so when I tried to pay the fees, the money was returned to me.
