How can you pay for something that is not working

We took out a contract with Nashua Mobile in the end of last year. Since May this year our internet on the modem does not want to work at all, we took the modem to Nashua Mobile in Carnival mall and they told us that according to them there is nothing wrong with the modem nor the Cell C sim card. The Guy at Nashua told me that there is something wrong with the network itself since may this year up until now (and its still not working), when i phoned Cell C they told me that they cant find the Sim card no on their system, so they cant help me cause there is no information about this at all. So now we are stuck with a modem that does not work, and we are paying for a thing, witch they do not want to stop...(cause its not working). i would really like to sort out this thing or get a new refund (ONE THAT WILL WORK)
