Poor customer service and non-delivery

In December I signed a 12 month contract with Cell C which purchased a 2gig data package and a free 3g router. When the router was tested at home on the first day I discovered it to be completely ineffective as signal was completely lost when moving from one room to another. As per the Cell C return policy of 7 days. I returned the item to the store. I was told that a technical fault had been locked and the a technician would be sent to my home. The store manager also indicated that the 7 day return would not be void and would be noted on the fault log. After a week no one had come or called. I once again went to the store and the store manager had indicated that he was having issues contacting the technical support. He then stated that if no response was obtained within the week that he would log a request to cancel the contract since the router was not fit for purpose. It has now been three weeks and on query the manager now indicates that the contract will not be cancelled until the technical investigation is complete.
This is absolutely ridiculous as I had been waiting for three weeks for the apparent investigation to be done.
