Poor recommendations, poor after purchase service

I received a message that I was due for upgrade. I went immediately to cellucity in cavendish and was welcomed by very friendly service consultants. I expressed my interest in the iphone 5 (which was in stock) since i had the iphone 3 and was very happy with apple products. I was told to go for the sony xperia V. I listened to the consultant rattle off about the phone, so I took it. A month later i am sitting with a phone that switches off on its own accord and gets so hot i can barely touch it against my cheek. I have been told it needs repairs and that i must leave it with them, but i cant because then i sit without a phone (which i actually need) and vodacom doesnt understand that its an inconvenience for me to be without email and cellphone access. I will never accept the advice of a vodacom employee again and i will be taking my contract elsewhere as soon as it expires. If i had stuck to what i knew, i would not have these issues. A friendly consultant does not make up for poor advice and a poor after sales experience. why reccommend the sony over the iphone if this is what i have to deal with?? I need some proper advice, Vodacom!
