Sold me a contract they couldn't fulfill

I bought a contract from Vodacom for a 2gb data dongle. It worked great at first, but then I moved to Observatory. The service wouldn't work AT ALL in Observatory, which I later find out is because they have very poor (if any) service coverage in the area. I went back to the Claremont branch and said I wanted to cancel my contract due to the service not working, to which the lady was rude and spent all this time looking at a map, convincing me there should be coverage. I insisted it didn't work and all she could recommend was that they send someone to check the actual coverage, while they continued to debit my account. I asked to speak to the manager who was supposedly occupied, so left my number for him/her to call which they did not. She said if I did want to cancel my contract I had to call in to their center and I would need to pay off the contract minus a small percentage, even though their service didn't work.
