Have not received a replacement phone for 3 weeks

I took a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in October 2013, on the 3rd January 2014 the simcard reader stopped working, I took the phone back to MTN on the 6 January 2014, it was taken for warranty assessment and the assessment was approved, I was due to get a replacement phone as they could not repair mine, since that day, I haven't received any phone, all I get are stories that my case has been escalated to this and that person. It has been 3 weeks now and my monthly payment will b debited on the 25th and they expect me to pay for something I haven't used. Firstly they said I cannot cancel my contract and cannot cancel it and take a new contract, then was told to take a phone that has the same value as the Note 2, then they said they do not have stock, then they said I can take another phone, but the phones they had were less than my subscription fee and they said I can migrate to another contract, that is where the delay is and the store manager promises to get the phone today, the next day she has a different story, Monday morning she said I will get the phone Tuesday, Tuesday I and to wait for certain people to authorise, today is Wednesday, I just went there, she is telling me to wait.
