MIX deal not activated

I applied for a Telkom mix deal at 10am yesterday morning it is over 24h later my sim card is still not activated. I called in as I do not work in a industry that allows me to just leave and run into the telkom shop when ever I feel like. I have been transferred between 3 departments 8 times since 9am this mornining and it is still not activated. the phone is essentially useless to me as it stands. No one will activate the sim card and number for me at all. I am livid at the moment. Surely it is a simple thing to do instead of people passing the buck. I was told 24h it is now 27h later it must be activated and I will not be compensated for the cost it has cost me and more petrol to. This is NOT!!! the fist time that Telkom has given me service like this. We want to apply for more services with Telkom but I am now thinking otherwise and going to advise my friends against it to.
