8ta's systems down and still they carry on busines

I went into Menlyn Park Telkom / 8ta's store on 5 March 2013 for a SIM card swap at about 11h00. The gentleman at the store loaded everything, gave me a new SIM card and I paid my R35. Once all done the gentleman told me that the system was very slow and the SIM would be activated once the system was complete with whatever it had to do. He said we could leave and he would keep an eye on the system to ensure the SIM was activated.

We hung around the mall hoping that it would be done while still near the store as we do not work / live near Menlyn and just happened to be at the stores that day. I went back to 8ta after about 2 hours to be told the system was still slow and we should not wait any longer as I had to fetch my children from school. We left the mall.By 16h30 the SIM was still not working. I called the call centre who put me through to 081182. They checked the SIM and told me that the system was still slow and the SIM was not activated yet. Called at 08h30 on 6 March to be told that the SIM was not activated and I had to return to Menlyn Park store to get it rectified as they could not do it over the phone. I now have to waste petrol and time to get this sorted.
