MTN Contract price at discretion of sales staff?

Telecommunications

I was due for an upgrade so I obtained the MTN magazine from an MTN shop and chose a phone at R149p.m. Not all dealers had stock but I eventually found one at Morningside and went there the next day to do the upgrade. Whilst there the sales lady says that the phone costs R159p.m but I object and show her the magazine. She then says okay and gives me a copy of the contract that stipulates R149p.m but I am now being billed at R159p.m. and when I call in to query it - which I have done four times since then I am now getting stone-walled. The last time I called they told me that the sales lady stated that she told me the price was R159 p.m and so that's that.
I am stunned that this kind of incident which in my opinion borders on petty is perpetrated by such a leading company in SA and I wonder how many others this is happening to. If my contract states R149 p.m why put a good customer through this time consuming rigmarole?
