Illegal throtteling of uncapped & unshaped lines

Afrihost customer for 4 months.

Paid for a business line which was supposed to be uncapped and unshaped.

Since day one my line was erratic and slow.

They blamed Telkom's line. Yet upon testing the line with the Telkom guest account my speed test were extremely solid and ran at exactly the speed i was paying for. Not the case with Afrihost user & password.

Sent a total of 60-80 emails to try and solve the problem.

Spent about 10-20 hours of my mobile phone talk time phoning them.

Dealt with four representatives from Afrihost. Some of them being line managers.

All i was requested to do constantly was do speed tests using various user names and passwords as well as running Traceroutes etc.

The first blamed Telkom... Telkom for all their faults actually sent technicians to my house on four occasions. They did so even though it was clear after the very first visit that Afrihost were to blame.

I was a patient and helpful customer but they have ended up ripping me off in a way no other ISP has ever done.

Frankly i am disgusted in the poor level of service and the lack of ethics.

Also on shaped lines they will throttle you constantly, even under low usage.

Again, DISGUSTED!!!
