Phone under warranty but telkom will not help

My mum took a phone in to the telkom store in lenasia trade mall to get it fixed or replaced as it is still under warranty we purchased it last year may.the lady at the couneter had the nerve fo ask my mother why is she bringing the phone back after so long.than she tells my mother that they do not have stock to replace the phone my mother must come check everyday if it has arrived even if it takes till may and if the warranty expires sorry you wont get a new phone.what customer service is this? The staff at that branch I known forbeing rude and arrogant with clients. I am really dissapointed in telkom.
