DUMBASS OBF POLICY

Telecommunications

Purchased a Nokia Asha 306 on the 10th January and I cant connect to my computer, my bluetooth car kit connects but doesn't function properly like my old phones did. It disconnects at random nearly causing me to get a ticket for having to talk with the handset, WHO IS GOING TO PAY THAT FINE? The maps send me on a run around and the incorrect direction (into on coming traffic) or doesn't work at all. Nokia recommends that you do a software update to fix the issue but you cannot connect to the computer (OVI) and OTA updates (on the phone) to do so.

According to ok Furnitures where we purchased the phone, it's Nokias policy that the phone be sent for repairs even though I have only had it for 3 days and contacted ok furniture's on the 11th already. According to Nicole (OK Furnitures) it's Vodacoms policy. We contacted Vodacom who says the phone can be returned within 14 days if you are unhappy for a full refund.

Now they expect me to spend a week to 2 weeks without a brand new phone. How can they contradict the consumer law by refusing to refund me. I purchased a new phone and with them working on it, I cant call that a NEW phone.

PLEASE FIX YOUR STUPID POLICY!!!
